WHO WE ARE:
The Jewish Studio was founded by people who wanted more vibrant Jewish experiences. Our goal was to offer experiences that are both intellectually stimulating and refreshingly joyful. Most importantly, we want to showcase how Judaism is relevant in our lives and to this modern world.
WHAT WE DO:
In reviving the joyful spirit of Judaism in the modern world, we connect Jewish adults to a meaningful, accessible, and inspiring Judaism. We create community around events like Shabbat meals, holiday parties, text study and service projects. In warm weather we offer outdoor musical evenings, and Shabbat hikes. Our events also include theater and museum trips, salons, and workshops.
WHY WE DO IT:
We want to inspire Jews (and those who love us) to find meaning in this transformative religious heritage. We strive to connect Jewish practices with the values of universal dignity, “tikkun olam” (repairing the world) and equality of all as sparks of the Divine.
WHO WE SERVE:
We are looking to connect to adults who want to nurture their spiritual selves and find meaning within a Jewish framework.
As we progress in life we gain wisdom, but also a deeper thirst for purpose. Without compassionate guidance and supportive leadership, we find ourselves frustrated in our growth.
If you are looking for inspiration and connection from our Jewish heritage, then you’ve come to the right place.
WHERE WE ARE:
Located in Montgomery County, Maryland, we currently serve over 1,000 adults in the area who are eager for meaningful engagement.
Without a membership-funding model, we are dependent on your generous donations that allow us to thrive and focus on what’s important: providing Jewish services and events that inspire and ignite deeper exploration.
